Anybody hardly know of any book shops in Dublin that stock decent poker books? Am trying to get a copy of 'tournament poker for advanced players' by David Sklansky in particular. Long shot but i said i'd try anyway.

yeah, Hardback only though so it's pricey enough at €23.

    eh? wha'?

it's Tony Holden's follow-up to his absolute classic 'Big Deal' where he took a year out of his life (1988 as far as I remember) to try and make it as a poker pro (he was a skilled amateur). Very funny, very literate - one of the three best poker books out there.
Read it first if you haven't already.

this one is his attempt at doing it all again - in 2005/2006. I've only read the first few chapters but it looks very promising

Definately buying it. Question though: is he still as bad a weak tight spew merchant as he was on the first go over?

    he reminds me of myself

    does that answer your question?

Any idea if they had the original Big Deal book aswell, as I haven't read that and I'd like to read it before reading to latest one.

    Thanks

I think I saw it there too (yellow cover)

if it's not there, you should pick it up in any of the other city centre bookstores though as it's probably the biggest selling non-theory book out there
