    first hand:

Villan has only come to the table about 3 orbits ago. He bought in for 50 and so far over only 20 hands his stats are 65/0/20...... he has made 2 moves so far and both of them were a CRAI on the flop with a flush draw. He won the first one against TPTK and he won the second one with 5h7h in a 3 bet pot where I made it 7.. and got 3 bet to 30 by a TAG . i folded he called and CRAI on a 2 heart flop against top set and hit..... hence his stack...

According to my read he's on the same move again but he could also have the nuts.... My Q is if I'm right and he is flushing (he thinks it's the nuts) should I call as I've only invested 22 so far..... I know it's the wrong way to look at it but I'm thinking fold because of the bad run I'm on lately..... thinking of trying to reduce variance? Anyway results later

1 is a super easy call
2 since villain is supposedly good this is much closer but I still call cos he seems quite aggressive.

    The first one I call

The second one I'm not as sure - his play looks a lot like what many players do with AA. Probably still call tho as I'm a station

prob call the second one too.

Why only raise too $5 in the first hand but re-raise too $23 in the 2nd one with a (slightly)worse hand?

Second hand was more difficult all right.... after a bit of deliberating and considering my opponent I folded.

Chat started between him and another player in the chat box and he was asked if he had AA and he said that he had 10 10 ... but I wouldn't mind this much....

    thanks for input guys

The way everest poker write the HH's is a little confusing... In the first hand I raised "by" 5 to 7 ( I included this in brackets in the second hand) I was first into the pot and this is my normal opening raise.

In the second hand it was a 3 bet.. I was RR the original raiser hence the larger bet...

hope this clears it up a bit

the first is an easy call against what seems a fish
the second is marginal i think ull be shown a set a lot here

I dont think the 2nd is marginal at all, you will always be shown at least AK there.

I agree, I expect a flush draw in the first one but how can he have a draw in the second one? JQ is not likely, and it's not exactly a huge overbet it's a little more than the pot.

I think 1 is a really easy call and 2 is a pretty easy fold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,615 ✭✭✭Mr.Plough

    1 - insta call

2 - meh, read dependant for me. could see myself folding half the time

1: as everyone has said, insta call
2: More tricky, the board is fairly dry, it fits in with our raising range and this guy is still willing to tank it in, I think if he's as good as you say and is a thinking player, (with decent stats over a largish sample) I think this is a fold, unless history tells me differently.
