Vison M, serial number?

Have been trying to get my unresponsive Creative Vision M taken care of for some time now. Having corresponded with the online support people and attempted all troubleshooting measures, it seems I definitely need a service replacement.

Where exactly do I find the serial number required to get such a product replacement. They show a picture on the site of where to find it but the picture doesn;t appear to be a vision M as it is open and AFAIK you shouldn;t open mp3 players unless instructed to as you may void your warranty. Any help, please:confused::confused::confused:

The serial number is on the back, on a sticker under the Creative Labs INC. Model no. bit

Where did you buy the player? A friend of mine bought the same Creative mp3 player for €220 that I paid €350 for a few months earlier. This was a couple of years ago. Bought it off some dodgy guy in town who actually had a sack full of different mp3 players. Anyway my friend thought he was great for getting such a bargain but low and behold it broke 3 months later, rang creative up who asked for the serial number and unsuprisingly that was gone too. Bit of a waste of €220 there.

have been putting that in for the past while but the site has been telling me the number is invalid. Was bought on line from creative dealer AFAIK so I don't see why thar be a problem.

"The serial number you have indicated is invalid or your product is not a Zen Micro, Zen Micro Photo, MuVo V 100, Zen V, Zen V Plus, Zen Vision M, Zen Vision W. Please double check the serial number of your product and re-enter it"

Your contract is with the retailer and they have a responsibility towards you when the device goes faulty. Bring it back to the shop you bought it from and let them deal with the manufacturers.
