How do I go about logging into me router without knowing the IP address. It's nothing generic like 192.168.0.1 I turned of dhcp on the router to let the satelite modem hand out the ips and I'm preaty sure I set a static ip on the router but I haven't a clue what it is. I need to get in there and make sure a port is open.

    Start > Run > enter cmd.exe > Ok

Type ipconfig and hit enter. Look for the "Default Gateway" address.

The default gateway listed is the modem not the router.

    http://ipscan.sourceforge.net/ipscan.exe

run the above which will report all active ip addresses for the range you have specified, e.g., 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 etc. remember to put in the full range.

then, by trial and error, try each IP in your browser.
