    Hi all,

Sorry if this is the wrong area to post, but Im just looking for a bit of basic guidance.

A friend of mine wants to set up an online database (free ideally!) to which eight or nine people can regularly add/delete material. It could consist of up to 1000 names addresses etc.

Nothing special, just a basic website with a basic database behind it.

Can you tell me where I'd start if I'm to help him out?

    Thanks!

Use either, php with MySQL database.

Or .NET with SQL Express database

Is there an easy way to set it up with no experience of programming languages?

He can build basic websites with MS Frontpage but thats as far as it goes.

    The short answer is no.

You want something like this. It can be relatively straight forward to set up, for somebody with the know-how.

I can lend a hand if you want, pm me.
