Hi, does anyone know a good mechanic in the Harold's Cross, Terenure, Crumlin area? I'm a girl and this is my first car so they will think I haven't a clue the minute they see me - and they'll be right! Just want a reliable mechanic that will service it well and not rip me off.

    Cheers

Good question, looking for one myself in southside of city.

What I do know is don't go to:
    - Kwik Fit in Goatstown
    - Mechanic recommended by the above

Kwik Fit told me they'd replace a whole segment of my exhaust, but simply cut a bit off and welded a new bit in = not performing the work we agreed on.

As for the mechanic, dunno if I can name him here (is lucky as I can remember him at moment!), but he chanced his arm a coupla times with me so I'm not going back there.

Is there any decent honest mechanic out there?!

Thanks for the warning! There has been a deafening silence in response to your plea for an honest mechanic - at least they're being honest about not being honest - if you get my meaning
