Neteller Account Closed - Phone verification needed?

Has this happened to anyone else?!

I tried to log on a few days ago to my account. Account closed error. Emailed support, no reply. Rang them, they said it was closed because I tried to access my account from a different country. And they won't open it till they ring me back in my home country.

I'm not heading back to Ireland for the foreseeable future and I won't be able to withdraw to another neteller account?

Anyone have any idea's on how I can fix this?

This is new. Mine was blocked when I accessed it from China but once i rang them they removed the block.

How long are you a member? Have you provided them any sort of ID in the past?

Ask them can you get someone else to call from your registered phone number and give some keyword that you arranged with neteller beforehand.

Sheit, yeah heard that they can block transactions if you do it outside of your host country, but this seems very OTT.

Related to what pokerplaya said, could you not get someone at home to pretend they are you.

keep calling them and ask to speak to different people. Eventually someone will agree to allow it to be used from the country you are in. Ask them to allow it to be used from any country. They will say this isn't possible. Insist it is. Eventually you will be allowed access it from anywhere, it just takes a little effort.

I had a lot of hassle with this a while ago, originally it would happen when I logged on from any different IP Address even in Ireland. Eventually I got someone useful in Customer Support (Not Easy - I ended up getting action from a guy called Phill but I don't have his direct e-mail, best trick I reckon is to call between 10am and 4PM ask for the security department and you will get talking to someone in the UK) and they were able to set up my account so that I could use it when I'm on the road. Now I call them before I travel if I think I'm going to use the account. I've managed to use it from some seriously dodgy countries but I never thought of trying it when I was in the states.
