Not sure if it has been mentioned here before but Clare hurler Tony Grifiin, who is currently studying in Canada, set out on May 1st to cycle 7000 Km across Canada as a fundraiser for Cancer research (charities include the Irish Cancer Society and the Livestrong Foundation). Tony's dad died in 2005 of asbestos related cancer and he has udertaken this project in his honour. The final leg of this cycle will be from Dublin Airport to Ennis on June 30th and July 1st and Tony is hoping that a large number of cyclists will join him on the trip.

If you will not be taking part but would like to donate something I have set up my own page on Mycharity.ie and all money donated through this goes directly to the Irish Cancer Society.

If you would like to make a small donation please click on the link below. My target is a modest €1,000 so "every little helps"

    Many thanks.
