    Would anyone know or has a website that explains how to calculate odds and payoffs? Example: €5 each way, the horse wins at 30/1. What would my winnings be?

    There is a calculator on www.paddypower.com (tabs along the top). That'll help you squire.

    You can find a good article about how E/W bets etc operate HERE but as FTB said, the paddypower calculator is quick and easy if you need to work it out in a hurry.

    Simple calculation you can do would be get your odds (30/1) and use it as 30.
    If it is 1/4 odds multiply it by 1.25 (for a 1/5th by 1.2). That will give you 37.5 (or 36), then add 2 (one half is your win stake the other your place stake.). You should now have 39.5 (or 38) which would be you return for €1 e/w at 30/1. So multiply according to your stake.

    e.g:

    €5 e/w @ 10/1 (1/4 odds) = 10 x 1.25 -> 12.50 add 2 -> 14.50 x 5 = 72.50.
