Hey guys, search function isnt workin for me at the moment, so I couldnt find a thread like the one Im opening.
I live in Galway, and two good friends of mine are having a joint birthday at the end of the month. They both love Jage, and I think if I got em a naggin each it would be nicer than a pint in a pub kinda thing. Thing is Ive only seen naggins of the stuff on the internet, never come across one in any off licence Ive been to. Is it possible to get em in Galway, or failing that, Dublin? Id actually be willing to travel to get it, seeing as its the drink of the gods and all...
    Cheers guys!

I've only ever seen minatures of jager, but if they both know each other, could you buy them a full size bottle between the two? I've never seen a naggin of jager tbh.

your best bet would be to go to you local off licence and plead your case. I'm sure there is a suppier (i'll check tomorrow) but i wouldn't be able to say off hand any off licences that stock it... As was said above, Joint birthday, joint present? jager retails around the €25 - €26 area so i could imagine naggin's going for about €8.50 - €9.50. Two of them is going to cost you close to €20. So for the extra €6 you get a much better looking present which has 3 and a half naggins in it

Or you could get them a hip flask each and pour jager into it, and you'd still have some left for yourself!

You can get smaller bottles of the stuff in Germany, but dunno if I saw any naggins.

It kind of jumps from minature (40mls) to half bottle I think.

If they're fans of the drink then go into your off-license and ask them for a bottle of jager with a metal tin. Now, it might be a bit of a long shot but a while back Jager sent out load of their bottles in these cool tin shells. Looks frickin' amazing, but I know a load of customers aren't bothered with them so there are normally loads lying around off-licenses etc. I gave them to a few fans of the drink and they were more then happy to have something to keep their cherish meister in.

I think I've seen naggins in Germany alright, but then... when a litre is about €11 why would ya bother? :)

Not much help, but I got one in London, not that long ago. All the writing on the bottle is in German, so I don't think they specifically make it for export.
