    Hi,

Just wondering does anyone know how to do this, I heard that you can set your phone up to recieve a fax if you give the fax sender your number with a 5 between the 087 and the main portion of the number. The phone shows it has a new fax message and then you can forward it to a fax machine.

Would appreciate some help from anyone who has this working successfully.

    Thanks,

    Skeff

as far as I know, nokia 6230i do not support fax at all
You can receive fax messages with some other mobile popnes (eg. 6230) if u connect it to the pc and use it as a fax modem, but you need to have this service activated on your account as well and u would need special software such as Win Fax or similar

Yuo can enable faxmail the same way as you enable voice mail, dial 171 and setup form there, also you can view any faxes sent to your mobile no 087 5 xxxxxxx , Log into www.vodafone.ie and goto e-mail and there is an option there to view your faxes and listen to voice mail

also you can setup that any faxes recieved on your mobile will auto send to a desired fax no or you can choose to print them to a custom fax no

    Class service I think
