Some info. I've seen sweets126 reraise a few times preflop without potting it, usually holding 5678 sort of hands. I saw him repot it once preflop holding AAxx. So considering this should I retank it here preflop? I decided not to risk it against such a big stack. He's also played alot of preflop reraised pots very aggressively postflop, generally potting it and committing himself OOP with any sniff of a good flop for him. So does this make the flop shove correct?

    wow....
I'm new enough to plo but to me inexperienced eye I wouldnt push preflop
    Flop
you are drawing to 3 cards for the nuts with any d for the 3rd nuts. If he beat at the board with a taste of the flop maybe one of your 10's are gone.
Brave move he cant call you with anything bar Ad and drawing cards. KKdxdx maybe.
    wow again

You're forgetting the info I posted about him. He was fairly transparent and I'd been playing him for a while. I was pretty certain he didn't have a big pair.

ugh. I think I prefer to push preflop than on this flop, but I don't think I really like any of it. did he call? 6 buy in pot?

I did consider folding when the shortie pushed pre, but I figured sweet's range was so big that he was unlikely enough to reraise and I wanted to play a big pot against him with position because he sucks.

Yep he called. Sick pot for these stakes.

I like your push u have adouble gutshot the diamonds and an over pair.He cant call with bare aces if he has awrap around the 8 9 u stillhave the diamonds and blockers with your 4 hole cards .Its good agressive poker.Of course he might fold and other player may have very little and u win the pot.I would not tank it pre allin allits nota bad flop. What was the result ? he called with ace hi flush draw and rivered it?

Only the single gutshot I'm afraid but I like my push too :) . Just thought it was an interesting spot, I suppose an awful lot of it depended on how sweet was playing really, which you can never really fully get across in these HH's. I'll give results once Roundtower posts, would like to hear his opinions. May be a few weeks though...

Ok im half blind single gut shot over pair and flush draw ons second thought and with hindsight i fold.Dont like to but i do if sweet is as bad as u say as long as he stays playing u can get his stack witha much stronger holding.H e could even have abig hand donks do get them now and again, not very insightful wheres roundtower? Rubbing sun lotion into reggies freckled back:rolleyes:

I like shoving here given your read that he is unlikely to have a big pair. You are in good shape against his wrap type hands since most of them don't include the nut flush draw. I don't like raising again preflop for a few reasons: -- your equity isn't all that good against his range and he almost certainly won't fold, he might raise you back which puts you in a bad spot, and if he just calls you have almost exactly the hand he thinks you have, except worse.

I came back from Bolivia to answer this, it is a very poor country and the internet isn't the best either but it's one of the best places I've ever been. In Buenos Aires now but leaving for New Zealand shortly, might settle down in Australia or disappear again in Southeast Asia. For those who care.

Yeah I like the push too. I think you played this hand very well.

The only thing I don’t like about the way you played it Dave is pre-flop.
When you flat call the shorty then you are giving sweet options.
If he can reraise lite here then I don’t like your flat call as it is a sign that you are weak.
A decent player could just pop it here in which case you will have to fold with your holding.
However if you think he is not going to pop it with out the good then I actually prefer a flat call to a reraise as it will give him a chance to define his hand for you.
Basically what im trying to say is that if you think your flat call will get you a flop with him or if he raises then his hand is deffo better than yours then I like the flat call but other wise I prefer a fold or a third raise.
I think your shove is totally fine post flop

Completely forgot about this. He called with Kd4d4x5x, and the shortstack had AQxx with the nutflush draw so I wasn't in bad shape at all until the flush hit on the turn lol.
