anyone ever heard this guy. he's ridiculously good. got the album a good while back and had it on repeat in my car for ages. saw him/them live a couple of times. he plays with a group composed mainly of females, and himself on piano and guitar. gives of an eccentric brian wilson sort of vibe. the live act is pretty ropey…

anyone ever heard this guy. he's ridiculously good. got the album a good while back and had it on repeat in my car for ages. saw him/them live a couple of times. he plays with a group composed mainly of females, and himself on piano and guitar. gives of an eccentric brian wilson sort of vibe. the live act is pretty ropey but that's half the appeal! lyrics are brilliant. so snipey and satirical and which have even more impact when you consider the fact that he works 'in finance'. more of a composer than a songwriter really.

the myspace page has a few songs but they merely give a small insight into what the album has to offer. as far as i know it's for sale in tower alone, but it could be available in other independent record shops too.
