DVD drive problem

    I have a HP Pavilion Desktop (WIN XP) with with a Lightscribe CD/DVD RW drive. When I play to play commercial DVD's the drive flashes and nothing happens. Burnt DVD's play fine on the PC. And commercial DVD's also play fine in my laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

    Have you set the "Region" for the Litescribe?

    You can check it under the "Disk Management" section of "Computer Management" from within the control panel.

    I did that but it didn't work. DVD's only seem to read when I enter a normal CD first. The DVD drive doesn't even appear in the Disk management unless I enter a CD first.
