Just wondering what people think of this hand. mickey wernick is the villain.

he's just been spewing left right and centre, was short but doubled up all in pf on a coin flip (in the second level of a deepstacked tourny!)been playing badly, open limping a good bit, calling when it was obvious he was blind. he's utg+1 in this hand. 9 handed. he looks a bit tilty.

at this point i think i've shown down 3 hands, one was a j6s where I limped behind others in position and rivered a j in a checked down pot.

the second was where i bluffed turn and river in a checked pot from the button and was called down.

the other was where i open raised a6s in mp and c-bet the flop hu, and ace high was good at showdown.

the blinds are 100/200 at this stage. i'm on the button with a8o and limp behind.

I'm playing about 11k, he has 3.2k at the start of the hand.

    pot (1k)
    qq8

check to me, I bet 800. he calls.

    Turn (2.6k)
    6 or something. blank anyway.

    he shoves.

    2.2k to call.

actually, I think it was 2.4k to call, only a bb anyway.

hmmm. it's a hand that's been annoying me, felt i was making a mistake when i folded, probably the only hand i'd play differently if i could.

Given your description of him, the pot odds and your hand, I'd say it's an auto-call. You only need to be right one third of the time for it to be +EV.

Call from his record, I think.

this is the first time he's shown any aggression btw, he mostly called off he's chips, been playing very passively for the most part.

no offence, but it looks like a crazy fold to me - what did you think he could possibly have??

When he is this short if he has any Q here he isnt shoving imo.

Yeah a call looks marginally best, but I don't think a fold is terrible either.

more or less!! - if he had a hand that was ahead of you, he would surely check it into you imo

I think he could easily shove a queen here.
But this is a standard call and you know it.
