DS and Wireless Security - Any Good Tips?

Finally got around to properly setting up a Wireless Router (Linksys 54GL) in the apartment.

Have 1 PC, 2 Laptops, a Wii and a DS looking to connect through it. Initally had no security on it for a couple of hours (had fun knocking people off when I got back!) but then knocked it up to WPA and would like to further increase it to WPA2.

Of course that's a problem for the WEP-supporting DS. It's now knocked out. I suggested we switch back to WEP when we want to use the DS and then be aware of the problems and return back to WPA2 when we're done but that's a bit of a pain.

    Is there a simpler way?

Also I'm right in saying that SSL traffic is just as safe over wireless as wired (in the sense that any packets caught will still be encrypted) and the principle issue with hacking WEP is that it'll be easy only to see unencrypted traffic - such as websites visited, etc?

You could try a fon router attached to your own router. This gives out a wep enabled signal -you can connect the Ds to the "MyPlace" signal - this is your private network and use mac filtering to allow just the ds ?

Are you sure? My DS says my fonera is using WPA.

EDIT: Just had a go on my DS to check, and now it can find it at all
