anyone find them expensive for p&p, insurance etc?
just ordered three small items - macro extender, 2x convertor and a cf card - charging me about €80 extra for delivery. I know it's coming from king kong but still....

Seems to be a standard charge they use. Well worth it on the more expensive stuff, but probably not for smaller items.

Did you buy direct from their website or through their eBay shop?

I just got a D200 body and battery grip from Digital Rev's eBay shop and I did notice that they have a separate delivery charge for each item so I paid €65 when I added a new lens cap. But the fact that the whole package would have cost me €1650 here and only cost €1265 delivered from Digital Rev I can't complain.

BTW Digital Rev say they will not deliver to Ireland from their own website due to the WEEE (which is a pity because their the delivery charges are based on weight/size etc, not numbers of items), but will from their eBay shop where they charge delivery for each item. Go figure :)

I suppose the proportion of the delivery charge to final cost has all to do with the price you are paying and therefore the money you are saving. Still, it sounds like a bit of a con to me.

I only buy via their eBay shop.

Usually only buy more expensive items from them, and source the rest elsewhere. However, I will also add that their prices and delivery service are very good - often get delivery in about 3 days - not bad from Hong Kong.
