Contraching in the UK with Irish company

    Hi,

I have set up a limited company in Ireland and have a 6 month contract here. After this I will move to london and take on another contract, IT type work. Should I use the Irish company to invoice the uk company I will be working for or set up a new company in the UK.

I am just wondering what will work out best for paying tax. Can I get tax back if I'm working as an Irish compant in the uk. I will be working in the uk for 9 months.

    Any help,
    Thanks.

The irish company must register for tax in the UK.

When the company goes to file its tax return, a portion of the profits will be taken out to file a uk CT return.

I would explain more in depth, dont have much time on my hands these days. Contact your accountant about this.

    Thanks,

In that case do I also have to keep paying tax in Ireland while paying tax in the uk?

Will I get the tax back from the Uk when I return to Ireland. I will be there for 9 months.

My accountant is just starting up and knows the Irish stuff but is a little sketchy about uk matters.

    Thanks again.
