Any body remember the kits of that really smelly gluey stuff that came with shells and keyring things.

You poured this gluely stuff into a tray with whatever and it set hard and clear. Leaving you with a sealed object.

Anyone know of the modern equivalent?

plaster caster and clear caster i think ... rotten stuff ... awful bang off it ... couldn't keep your fingerprints from ruining it either.

had a quick google ... found some stuff on the plaster cast kits, but nothing on the clear cast. :(

    Hi there,

well according to my hubby you are looking for casting resin. Google clear casting resin and you'll find it.

3D laser etching in a glass block!

I do remeber those kits. Awful. I'm sure they'd be illegal to market to kids in this day and age.

I have a little miniture bottle of Guiness (containing actual Guiness) in a block as a keyring somewhere, dates from the early 80's.

I've been looking for the equivalent for years. There doesn't seem to be kits, as there was in the 70's. I think it was called David's Isopon. Will probably have to buy in bits and pieces.
