Hey everyone,

Anyone recognise this number : 01 79303449

I keep getting calls on my mobile from it!! I nearly always miss the call, cant ring it back and they never leave messages!!

Any ideas would seriously stop me head from melting.......

Dublin numbers have seven digits after the 01- prefix, not eight.

i keep getting missed calls from some 085 number in the middle of the night and when i call it back the phone is off - its melting me head too

hmm, i get calls from some girl at around 3 in the mornin all the time. she rings, i answer, and she goes "hello? eh sorry, wrong number!". dumbass doesnt even turn her number off!

but ye, i have nothing to contribute to this thread...:D

It seems to be an Irish number....i.e. no country codes appear at all. It is displayed on the phone as follows; 0179303449.

I kept getting missed UK number calls on my home phone when I was at work. Like the OP, they never left messages either, and it was relly bugging me. I was off one day when the same number called and it turned out it was Sky trying to sign me up. The woman on the phone was very put out when I told her I didn't want it and would prefer if they stopped calling me.

I got prank + txt calls a month back

Someone ket ringing and txting me.

Rang once on private number...

Them: "Do you want to know what im doing?"
Me-: "No its 4am im asleep and iv work in 4 hours!"

It got worse so i left my phone on silent for a day.

It continued until i had the number blocked.:mad:

I like my sleep!!!:D

everyone! you all overlooked the most obvious explaination

its your futureself(hense the odd number, god knows what the future holds phone digit wise) ringing him to warn him not to marry his childhood sweetheart cos she'll betray him and tell lex about his superpowers


(and yes i have just finished a big smallville watching marathon)

Iv never seen a number like that before.

I did get a missed call off a number like 07531535 something like that, and it ended up being from dingle (the eircom phone book told me:D )

The owner of the phone pays for the divert. A good sounding idea but it will cost you, not them.

I once had the same mobile number as someone else and kept getting calls meant for him.

I refused to change my number when asked and the calls kept coming for about another week and then stopped.

That probably doesn't help the OP in the slightest. Ah well.
