Youtube in posts ,slow things down.

    Does a
    post drain resources ???
    I have posted a few threads lately with a youtube paste ,but I won't bother anymore if it slows things down.

    Nah.

    No more so than hotlinking an image, if your browser is slow it might take a fraction of a second longer to render the page, but it certainly has no effect on the boards.ie servers. Even posts like this have no effect ;)

    Yep, as the image/video/file is not hosted on boards.ie it will not effect anything on boards.ie's end.
