Getting PUPS fitted

I want a set of the new noiseless Fenders for my Tele. I'll get em off Thomann but I was wondering where to go to get 'em fitted. I'm not really interested in fitting them myself as I have no experience and this Tele is my go-to guitar. Do Goodwins do it? I don't fancy going to Derek Nelson, as I've seen his workload, I'd miss my guitar too much.

I dont know anything about Goodwins specifically, but I'd imagine any guit shop or tech would do it (or even anyone who owns a soldering iron ;) ).

If you have any interest in doing it yourself I recommend you take a look at the Seymour Duncan website, they have videos showing how to change pups in a strat and AFAICR a tele.

Musician Inc. will do it for you for a few quid.

That's great, have you any experience with working with them directly?

They put Seymour Duncans into my Epiphone lp custom, make damn sure they have your pickups in stock first. I was waiting a few months for them to order in mine, including being told they were in stock and driving all the way in to find they sold one of the pair. After they were genuinely in stock the staff were absolute gentlemen though.

Yeah I just left it in to them, and they called me when it was done. Which was the next day I think. Cost me €50 including a new set of strings. If they don't have a queue they'll do it for you then and there.

You could also try "the guitar workshop". I have no personal experience of them but I know they are recommended by Music Inc. Their site is:

No, there's no way they'll even bat an eyelid if they're not pups you bought there.
