Q: where to get long luggage tray for an estate car

Recently got a 2nd hand Accord Tourer. Pretty happy with it so far.
My reason to choose an estate was the extra luggage capacity. My hobby is diving and it was getting more and more difficult to pack it all into the boot of a saloon car.
However I need a long luggage tray (or boot protector) - preferably with high side walls - to protect the inside of the car from wet dive gear.

I can get short, flat luggage trays that will just cover the boot area.
I would like to get one that could cover the area left when the rear seats are folded down to make more room i.e. one that would cover all the area from the tailgate to just behind the driver seat.

I know such long trays are available for jeep commercials. Can someone recommend a good place to find them (Kildare, Dublin area)?

How about making one yourself from mdf and lining it?

    Not a bad idea!

Great Outdoors in Chatham St D2 might be worth a try, or some specialist diving shops. Have you looked in Yellow pages for diving shops near you?

Wouldn't really go to a dive shop for something like this.

I did discover a manufacturer of heavy duty plastic products including luggage liners. They are called Sturdy Products. They are based in Blessington Co. Wicklow.

They do have a range of luggage liners of different sizes for commercial jeeps etc but they were a little too wide (and expensive) for my estate so I bought a heavy duty wide and deep plastic box that does the trick. :)
