Hey,just wondering if any of you out there know of the People Before Profit Alliance?I've read one of their leaflets and they sound like a genuine alternative to the present political climate.

    SWP? Hardly an alternative.

Front organisation consisting of the usual hairy lefties of the likes of Richard "OMG loike" Boyd Barrett and Rory "OMG teh sky is falling!" Hearne.

About as useful as the Christian Solidarity Party tbh.

Assuming that the OP is genuine and not an SWP member...........

People before profit alliance are the socialist workers party. They are yet another front organisation, just like dozens of others they've set up, which are made up of SWP members and used as recruitment ground to get kids to sell the party paper at demonstrations. The front organisations are not independent and if you ever go to a "public" meeting for one of these front groups you thought was a genuine new movement, you will basically be in a room with SWP members talking among themselves pretending to be concerned citizens not aligned with any organisation. Last I checked the SWP didn't believe in running in Dail elections, which may be why they are running under a yet another different name. They are frowned upon by even the smallest radical parties on the left.

Who will you be voting for in the general election, if you don't mind me asking?

    Not the PBP/SWP.

TBH, the SWP are political cowards. You can't talk about democracy then go into an election with a shiny new front deseigned to fool people. It's like saying, "people don't like our policies, or what we stand for, so let's not let them know".

Sounds like the most dreadful type of spin doctoring. Thank god no major party does this.
