Montauk accomodation help

    Me and some frieds are heading to Montauk this summer. However, some of my friends do not want to stay in a hostel (wehre everybody stays and says they have a great time)... don't ask. So we went looking for houses. We had some luck at first but right now we have nothing. I know yes about craigslist and easthamptonstar etc. but i was wondering if anyone has been there could they tell me is it easier to find accomodation while we're over there?

    Are Amagansett, East Hampton and Springs good areas in terms of still being able to go out in Montauk with the rest of the students? Because my friends are saying "we cant stay in montauk we have to find somewhere else".

    Any other tips besides craigslist and that? Thank you!
