Ive qualified for a rose heat in galway & the final is this friday.. I am going to sing as my party piece but am really unsure as to what song to sing. I will be having a guitar accompaniment, but dont want to sing something really Irishy lovely girls-esque!! I was thinking of Moondance by Van Morrison or a Mary Black number, something easy to accompany & also would like something that lyrically is appropriate to a Rose contest? any help would be much appreciated . aine x

A toughie to be sure. A word of advice is to pick a happy optimistic number, Mary Black can be a bit depressing. I wouldnt be a fan but "when you say nothing at all" might be a good number if you put your own spin on it.
