Hi all. My mate just bought a 350D. She's in a small town in Scotland, and had to wait a few weeks for the order. She's noticed the pictures are larger than they appear in the viewfinder. I can't see how this would happen, but she's 100% sure - they're getting about an extra 10% all round in shot when it comes off the camera. Anyone got any idea why this would happen? She could bring it back no hassle, but they only had a few left in the warehouse and it'd take another few weeks to get there. Any chance its easily fixable?

Actually, she should be getting about 8% more than her viewfinder shows. :)

Only pro cameras like the 1D's give a 100% view all around. My 5D gies me a 95% coverage.

Tell her to enjoy 5% space usable to crop and set water-level :-)

Fair enough! I never noticed it - just goes to show how observant I am  :D

In the manual tbh, I thought that refusing to read it was a male only problem.
