If you were given the opportunity to see your own death, would you? taken into consideration that there could be nothing you can do to change this fact

I don't think I would. But then again, some people would.

    heck no

No way. Like, if it was a slow, painful death, you'd become depressed so easily. There's a lot to be said for a quick death.

Could I increase my fun between now and then?

If you saw your death before it took place, then you could kill yourself a different way before then!

    Nah I wouldn't.

    Yeah, I would.

ooooh, I'd be so curious. But I'd have to decline, it'd ruin my life. Like if I saw it was me that looked much like me now, then I'd be expecting it all too soon, and wouldn't be happy living mundanely.

We've all gotta go sometime, if I knew how I'd imagine I'd make the most of things and then do my best to postpone the prediction!

    No, wouldn't even be curious.

I dont think I'd want to know how I was going to die. I believe it would have a negative impact on the quality of my life, and I'd probably spend most of my time avoiding things so that I would try to prolong my life

I don't know... I think my curiousity would probably win. Even though I know it's a really bad idea.

Indeed, if you can then go for it. live life to the full whilst you can..

One thing i think people forget is that you're going to die sometime, and you have absolutly no control over that. So the thoughts of 'omg that will ruin my life if its next week'

well, first off - you could die next week anyway - you just dont know about it. nobody does. so.. i dont see whats the biggy.

Yeah, you could die next week, but you could also die in 70 years time. I'm not going to go and splurge all my savings, just because I may be dead tomorrow, then have to live the rest of my life broke.

Sure! But what about those on-the-fence decisions? Should I? Or shouldn't I? Might make a difference?

    Yes i would.

If it was a grisly death i'd have to deal with it. No big deal.

If you had the ability to see your death, then you have to have the ability to change it.
As soon as you think about the way you will die, then it will change,
For example, if you know its going to be in 50 years, you start living life to the fullest, then you die in a motorcycle stunt,
if you go into recluse, and shut up shop for the rest of your life, you probably wont end up into the situation that resulted in your death. as soon as you know, it changes

So, you click on the youtube link (where else?), and there you see yourself at the keyboard. No surprises there. Hmmmm, looks like you haven't changed much. Haha, even wearing the same stupid clothes that you have on right now! And what site are you on? Surprise, surprise, it's not Boards (:p ). It's Youtube! Someone else has entered the room behind you. I can't quite make out who it is because the damn lights have suddenly go

I would have loved to have seen photos of myself just after I was born, or a video of my first few hours of life.

My parents didn't bother photographing me until I was about eighteen months. After two other kids, they had seen it all before:(

As for my own death. Hmmm, no.

I reckon I'll have the grand view of it when it does happen, I don't need a preview now thanks.

I've already seen it, i look about 86 and there's a young one stradling me on a crate of aubergine's, then the ticker finally gives in.

i don't want to even contemplate this hideous scene, not to mind see it.

    Story of my life

If you cannot change it, the only good that can come from it is to motivate you live life to the max. We should be doing this anway - Life is not a rehearsal!

I have a feeling I'll be there to witness it whether I want to or not.

Being face to face with my own end would probably cripple me mentally.

    I say nay.

you see how you die, you don't see why.

for example if you see yourself dying an old man, then as you say you're going to live life to the fullest, maybe that's what kept you going for all those years. on the other hand, if you saw yourself dying next week you are going to be as carefull as f*ck... accidents happen, to me anyway, more frequently if you are trying to avoid them.

hergo, my point is: just because you see how you die doesn't mean neccessarilly mean you can change it. time travel would only be possible if things happened for a reason (fate)
