    Are those high flying aircraft that overfly Dublin and hang a left at Killiney under ATC in Dublin or somewhere else ?

    Yep Dublin ATC, sometimes handed over to Baldonnel ATC if Transiting through Military Airspace for a short Period and then if heading west are handed on to Shannon ATC.

    Depends on their Flight Level (altitude based on standard pressure 1013.2 hPa). If they are above FL245 then they're being controlled by Shannon ATC based at Ballycasey Cross, Shannon. It *sounds* like you're referring to traffic above FL245, more than likely heading across the Atlantic or possibly into Shannon, Kerry or Cork.

    They leave London ATC at about 50 miles off the Irish coast coming from east to west and are given straight to Shannon high level on 135.6...as far as I can remember anyway ;)
