Renting a car as a director

    Hi there,

    I would like to rent a car for my day to day work with my only customer, which is also requiring me to visit its own customers, which can append 2-3-4 time a week, it depends.
    Plus I would keep the car during week ends for my personnal use.
    As a director of my company, can I claim the rent back, less the week ends eventually ?
    My accountant told me I have to justify every day, where I have been with the car.
    I found this a bit odd, but why not.

    Did you not already get the answer from your accountant, as you stated above

    you cannot claim the vat back on renting a car
