Is there anyway to do this automatically or does the signature need to be applied individually?

I don't think this is available as a group policy template, however you should be able to force it via logon script.

Copy the template into %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures\
(provided that it doesn't exist already). This will make the template available to the user from within Outlook. I don't know how to set it as default though - I had a sweep through the registry, but I suspect it's stored in the profile, not the registry.

Ok. Im just after looking through "outlook options" there. Down at the bottom on the mail format tab theres a drop down box for "select signatures for account". Microsoft Exchange server is selected and is actually the only option. Any idea what thats about? I would like to look into this option first.

you can have a registry setting pointing to a shared folder
[edit - sorry thought you were looking for document templates - but might be useful to someone and it's probably very similar]

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889495
Changes in the Windows Registry settings for the User templates file location and for the Workgroup templates file location
Office 2003 uses two registry keys to record the User templates file location and the Workgroup templates file location. Both of these settings are recorded in the following registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\General
The user templates location is stored in the UserTemplates string value.

The workgroup templates location is stored in the SharedTemplates string value.
you can setup them on one PC and then export the registry settings to a reg file - then use reg.exe import template.reg
can't remember if you need to get reg.exe from res kit for older versions of windows

maybe someone knows a way to do this in Active Directory ?
