I have a wireless card built into my laptop. I lost the connection and went to connect it again. I got a message that windows cannot configure this wireless network as you might have another program running it. A message along those lines anyway.

Anyone explain what the Wireless zero configuration in control panel is for and when you would use it ?

thank you :) im new to wireless.

Windows has it its own built in controller for wireless i.e. it detects networks and allows you to join them etc etc.(wireless configuraton) A lot of wireless cards also come with their own programme for doing this and it looks as if by default your laptop has a program to do this so look for some intel (?) prog that may be doing this for you up to now. YOu can usually choose which one you want to use.
