Would anyone know how strict it is for bringing your camera into a gig in the ambassadar to get a few shots of the band?

Would i be allowed to bring a proffessional camera in the doors.

Simply phoning the venue would be the simplest way to find out.
With the Ambassador, I doubt it, due to the layout.
Personally, I'd try to get in contact with the band and ask them for a photo pass.

    unlikely, send an email to

    a. venue
    b.promotions company
    c. tour manager (can be found on bands site)
    d. band
    e. press section of band

asking for a pass, a made up story of paper working forness is sometimes used and a pass and free ticket usually pops up

pretty strict, you can bring your camera in, there are rarely searches but if the security see you with a big camera and you don't have a photo pass they'll make you put it away or through you out

yes but if you're seen you'll either be thrown out or asked to put the camera away

the above info is based on me being the house photographer for the ambassador theatre so i know a small bit about photographing in there

if there's a band you really want to shoot, phone up mcd or the record label of the band and ask for a pass, then you can go into the pit and shoot from the best possible angle with nobody in front of you.

or if not, watch out for the pro photographers in the pit and ask them when they come out of the pit for their e-mail address and normally you can e-mail them and ask for a few photos. i'm always happy when someone comes up and asks me
