Looks good, but I am a bit worried about buying a refurbished model. I don't think I would have peace of mind with it.

Don't know of anyone who has had major problems with anything from the refurb store. All goods come with a full apple warranty and usually at most it's just a slight scratch or something that puts the item there in the first place.

If your after one of these for playin videos in particular then better off buying an mp3 player that plays xvids etc like the creative vision m (which isnt much dearer new atm), as 99% of ppl get sick to death of converting stuff to ipod format after a few days.

I've had one now for about a month or so and I'm very happy with it. To be honest it could have easily passed for an ipod from any store in new conditon.

Its a replacement for one that got stolen a while back and its working perfectly so far. You'd have a similar one year warranty as with a new ipod. Just be careful with the courier because its usually TNT. They sent my original order to somewhere in Spain and were 10 days sorting it out.

they come into stock a lot, so just keep an eye

i got a refurb 60gb a while back, has been brilliant, and as the above poster says i really couldn't differentiate between it and a shop bought one, looked like it had come straight off the assembly line, boootiful

Well not to put a damper on things for you guys but A mate of mine got one of these and it was Fcuk3d!

He had to send it back 3 times for repair and each time the collection/delivery took ages.

But I guess that's the risk

    Win some - Lose Some:p

Good deal alright. I have an iPod 30GB Black myself paid 250 for it but at that price its not too bad I guess.

I've had many MP3 players and regarding the creative Vision M I was going to get one, I had my mind set on it for a while but when I was in the store I suddenly realised its too bloody big. Its a block! It does play back avi files and various formats but the player its self is bloody huge and I had a 20GB creative a year or so ago and use to dread dragging it around.

Personally i expected to watch alot of video's on mine but tbh, don't get too hung up on the converting crap about the iPod .. It does take time arlight depending on your PC but you'll soon find your self never actually watching video's on it! The majority of people who have these video plays mainly play back music on them.

Personaly I would prefer an Apple product my self, although general features of the Creative Vision M are better. I find the overall quality of an Apple iPod far better then a creative player - The retail store I worked for I seen my self daily deeling with dodgey Creative players. Very few iPods I seen coming back.

But at 180 ish euro its an alright deal!

    http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/irl

menu on left hand side, look for "Special deals". 2 seperate links "refurbed ipods", and "refurbed macs".
