    there's a gibson les paul standard going for 745e before expenses(works out at bout 1050e in total i think delivered)

    Standard nut has probably just been replaced with another bone nut. Anyone know if your off the shelf Gibson LP Standard comes with a bone nut? (I doubt it somehow)

    Id hazard a guess that someone replaced the cream/white Gibson nut with a black one, just for aesthetic reasons.
