Hmm, not actually that hard, have done this before, but 60 hmm, it might take a few guesses.

So they give you the house, which cost £650,000, and they themselves make off with a cool 1.5 million, giving 250,000
    to charity?
Seems like there more then one winner here!

I don't get why they give away a house worth £650k to raise £250k. Why not just sell the house?!

If they sell the house for ₤650k and give away ₤250k of that they're left with ₤400k and get to downsize.

If they get their 25,000 entries at ₤60 a pop, they get a cool ₤1.5 million, give away ₤250k and they get to keep ₤1.25 million to buy an even bigger house.

Interesting idea - wonder if they'll make their target figure. Fair dues to them if they do.

Umm surely the fall of the shadow will depend on the time of day/year? Otherwise it's a complete guess.

Or you could gauge if from the other shadows cast in the picture, which I think is the point.

    Edit: Penny dropped?!

my dad entered a comp like this for a ferrari 360 a couple of months back. It was a spot the ball comp. I don't know what the exact figures were; but it was something like this:

    Winner: 756*134.
    My Dads guess: 756*133.

    Gutted.

Wouldn't you need a license to do this as it's a lottery?

My guess: Somewhere on the wall under the branch in the foreground. Around 495 x 227. too cheap/sceptical to enter though.

It's only a lottery if there is absolutely no skill or knowledge required on behalf of the participant, and vice versa - hence there are no questions for the farmers and finglas-heads on winning streak.

It's not a lottery, its a game of skill! If those stupid ads on TV can get away with "In which country is New York, a)Ireland b)Yemen c)USA. Text now to win and iPOD" then this is fair enough.

I see!! So there's nothing to stop someone from setting up one of their own?

that's exactly right. they said on the radio that they made it a game of skill to avoid having to obey lottery rules

well to do something like this all you need is a £650,000 house to give as a prize :)

but you can set up one of those text to win things and hope enough people text in to pay for whatever the prize is plus advertising.

How much would people be willing to pay to win a £350k house in London? :D

    It's in a skanky part. :(
