Do you lack enough space on your computer to store all your movies, software, games, photos and music? Then this 500 GB! Trekstor Maxi z.ul is the ideal solution for your problem. The Trekstor Maxi z.ul is a network hard disc that can easily be installed into the network. This allows centralised provisioning and access to data within a network, without the need for an expensive, maintenance-intensive data server. The network drive appears directly as an additional hard disk with its own drive letter in the existing Windows, Mac or Linux operating system. The NDAS technology used in the DataStation maxi z.ul optimally exploits the available bandwidth and compared to conventional network storage systems, provides for much faster data transmission. A total cup of 64 users can access the DataStation maxi z.ul concurrently, with direct saving to the network drive ensuring data are always up to date.

Coined in my opinion on the comments page anyhoo:
Me like this iBood... me like it long time!

    PS - great iBOOD!

PPS - Jesus loves a good iBOOD!

EDIT: Ha ha.. own up, who did this? Classic!
If this ibood was a person, I'd stick it in a big fancy dress and marry it. Then I'd divorce it for cheating on me with my best friend. Then I'd sue her for custody of our kids (2gig and 1gig memory sticks). It'd probably get ugly, better not buy it.

It was only too much if this was:
I think I could definitely use this ibood.. I'd use 2gb for word docs, 5 gb for email forwards, 37 gb for music, 19gb for my tasteful adult movie collection, 194 gb for films, and I'd save the rest for a rainy day. Or maybe I could resell the remaining 243 gb on ebay.. There's an idea..

Fantastic ibood. Fantastic. I don't think I've ever been this happy, and I include the birth of my children in that.

Anyone know if the iBood offer is better then the Western Digital My Book World Edition 500GB NAS which is €210 on Komplett??

    195 plus shipping ....

My personal opinion / preference would be to go with the My Book I've got a WD passport and WD My Book and I'm very happy with both

BTW cheers for the heads up ... hadn't realised the My Books had entered into the world of NAS :)

Still can't add my 2 cent to the "Discuss this product" page.
Your attempt failed: only signed up users are allowed to use our forums.
... and I had (for all you know) the wittiest of comments to post. :D

    No good!

I'm able to post in the "Ask iBOOD" section, but not in the "productlist" section.

    Weird, huh?

Weird, but I'm the same. I can't post, but my husband can. The only difference I can see is that I signed up during checkout process, he signed up just for the hell of it. Unless something is screwy with their 'checkout' signups.. How did you go about signing up?

:D Just discovered the iBood discussion forums. Bloody brilliant ;)

I needed an external HD and the fact I can attach this one to my router is a huge bonus, so just made my first iBood purchase.

It says shipping in 5 days, so with any luck I should have it by the end of next week. Based on what I've read on these forums though, that may be wishful thinking

I think the WD My Book World Edition 500GB would be a better choice.
I know it's a bit more expensive but from what I've heard the WD My Book range have great performance and low noise and it also has a gigabit connection!
Anyone know if the My Book range use SATA or IDE drives? I checked the specs here but it doesn't mention the type...

You may be on to something there. I also signed up during checkout process.

First purchase was that vacuum cleaner that one of ye commented on. :D

Not trolling but be sure to factor in added waiting time.

Or you could check this one out from Komplett. €40 cheaper and it should arrive within a day or two.
