    Basically I have a bad case of GAS for the last few weeks [damn ye people with your recent purchases....yes I have had my eye on you!!!! :) ].
    Anywho, I stumbled across a Tokai Ltd Edition Explorer on coda-music.com in the UK;
    http://www.coda-music.com/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=1496

    So I emailed Tokai.co.uk to get more info on the spec and a dude called Bob got back to me saying, that Tokai.co.uk are coming to Ireland next month[they are looking for dealers in Ireland].

    Just thought some of ye fine folk here might be interested.

    They'll be way more expensive than buying tokai from germany or japan. If anyone wants a good tokai guitar cheaper than what they will retail for in Ireland/England just send me a pm. My friend in Germany is the main distributor/importer for all of Europe and he supplies all of the resellers in Europe

    Didn't know that.
    Googled for Tokai and found it quite hard to find stockists.
    But that dude says they be in Belfast on 21st of May and goin' round the rest of the country from there.

    i was talking to the rep last year, nice guy. pity about the prices though, most of the guitars were €800+ (at that price i'd buy an edwards)

    oh, i just remembered. Music Maker have a load of them! head into the shop, just past the counter on the left. theres a stand with them.

    Are the Edwards better than Tokai??

    YES!

    Edwards are Japanese made. The new Tokai are Korean, i think possibly a few higher-end new models could be japanese. The original Tokai's were Japanese made. :)

    In summary, Edwards are great but if you get the chance to buy an old Tokai....GET IT!
