Anyone spot any VOIP phones on offer online? Doesn't need to be anything special. The cheaper the better to be honest as i don't expect to use it too much.

    Thanks in advance!

Nice idea. But Firebox's £15 delivery to Ireland makes this a tad pricey.

Save yourself the hassle and just use www.call13434.ie Irish calls are 0 cent/min and most European countries are 0.5 cent/min. All calls incur a 5 cent setup charge.

I've been using it for about 3 months now and have no complaints.

You can even use it to call with your mobile, although your mobile operator will still charge you for a call to a Dublin number (might be in your free mins though) and this can work out a lot cheaper than the prices mobile operators charge for overseas calls.

Even better make your own VOIP phone, get a old handset (just the handset):

Basically if you cut the wire from the handset you should be left with 4 wires, (two for speaker and 2 for mic), solder it to 2 3.5mm jacks and paddys your uncle.

okay my directions arn't exactly great but hopefully you get the idea :)
