Navman F20 Freedom?

I've read the stickies and scrolled through some threads and haven't seen this unit discussed.

Does anyone use the Navman F20? Xtra-Vision are doing these units for €169 which seems ok for this relatively basic unit.

I have a blue-tooth car kit and an MP3 in the car so I don't need these accessories. I don't need European maps at the minute so I'm wondering if this unit will be sufficient for my needs.

Does this unit use navteq? Any tips or other recommendations?

    Thanks :)

Was about to post the same
Saw one today and it seems very reasonable
Have used lots of GPS systems over the years and I am also curious about this
Has anybody here tried it? What are the maps like? Is the coverage decent?

I bought one in Sam McCauleys and was told "coverage is better in urban areas". I live in Wicklow and it only shows the N11 as far north as Bray - once you hit Kilmacanogue coverage improves. I've had no problems with it in Dublin. There is a map update coming in September (think I read it on a thread somewhere in this forum).

Basically, if you live in Dublin it'll do the job but if you live outside the Pale or want to use it outside Dublin I'd probably hold off for a map update.....

I bought the TomTom and wasn't happy with the coverage. I went back and switched for the Garmin 360T, considerably more expensive than the Navman and the TomTom. I started off thinking about the Navman but I was told the coverage was only ok.

Very happy with the Garmin 360t but it was over €440.... Plus the facility is there for the blue tooth car kit and there's an MP3 player too, don't need them now but they'll be handy in the wife's car, or whnen I switch motors myself

I have an N40i (next model up). Maps are not the most recent Tele Atlas. It's not a case of poor road coverage as such, it's more a case of most of the roads/streets etc outside Dublin don't have names.

All of Leixlip is "Unnamed road"
