was thinking about this hand after it happened, had it on my desktop, wondering if you think this is the right call or not?
the guy is pretty tight, agressive on occasions but very rarely got to see his cards, was only sitting on the table for around 20/30 hands so hadnt seen much action and couldnt see what i was against, what would u do?

Wow what were you thinking. This is a crazy call. I fold this shít preflop. If not, I'm folding the flop, especially given your read. Lol I presume this is a joke.

99.99999999% its the wrong call here.... don't let the .00000001% of the time make you think you did the correct thing....

most times in omaha that hand won't even beat a bluff because I wouldn't even consider that a bluffing hand....

    edit:
might have called with the nut flush.... just about....

    also fold preflop.....

    Unreal call.....
you have one pair, a paired board and a flush draw hitting...madness

wp, gc, nh, etc etc ;)

Suppose he figured only a house/nut flush would call..... pick the wrong day for a bluff...

You may have top pair and top kicker, but that is worthless in omaha. How experienced are you playing this game, especially $3/$6?

dougee I challenge you to a heads up 3/6 NLHE game.

Accept or decline the choice is yours??

Yeah, you all need to stop the veiled abuse.

Based in part on the other thread, and the lack of any discussion in this thread as well I am closing this for probable trolling, and preventing the course that this thread is likely to go down.

For once Bops, you might be right :)

i dont think this hand is as bad as people are making out. i hate the river call and preflop is pretty bad, but i think flop and turn are ok.

well realistically, if i call on the turn i obviously think my ak is good, meaning on the river, he either has hit the flush and im behind, or my ak is still good,
he was bluffing a lot on the night, and i really thought i was strong, this was a lot of money and it would have been a waste if my read was wrong, i mean, this is very very rarely often but i think my omaha skills are way better than my holdem and i honestly thought i was good unless he hit 77 on the river

ive been playing omaha for over a year now, and i normally play higher stakes than 3/6, well it varies to be honest,
i go between 1/2 and 25/50 depending on how much i withdraw from my account each week...
and i know it was worthless in omaha, but i very rarely make calls like that when im behind, so i seem to have my read right

i mainly posted this to see if anyone else would make this call,

and if they played preflop and on the flop, what their actions would be on the turn and river

Can we see some HH from your 25/50 games please? Just interested to see how your play differs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,361 ✭✭✭dougee19

2 things with this, i only have a few hands, and there was only one major one where i basically flop a house vs trips and hold up vs(andy black :):)-only pro ive ever bust, hehe )

and the main reason, i only have a small few hand histories, i play in internet cafe's all the time, so my hand history is saved to the computers, but what normally happens, is that when i download the software it doesnt save hand histories, its only after a big hand do i remember to turn it on, thats the only thing i hate about ft, i dont understand why they dont auto save, i might ask them for a complete hand history on 25/50 and post a few important hands up, but for the moment i'm just going to post this one, this is the only hand i want criticism on anyway

this is how i normally play, others who played me on pp or ft might agree,
preflop i can be very aggressive and i admit i like to gamble with suited and connected cards, will have my money all in preflop a lot rather than call off a third of my chips...

on the flop im a tight player to an extent. i lay down bottom 2 pair easily and top and bottom etc, have laid down middle set etc.. if str8 on board i would be very weary

turn... i lay down sets a lot if draws are made, dont like going to the river drawing unless getting rights odds on hitting or on tilt

river, unless i think im ahead i normally fold to pot size bets, have paid off sets vs straights and flushes over flushes but normally dont lose too much on the river

i know this is total contrast to my holdem play but thats how i feel i perform
