I've heard that Áine is the best out of that bunch, Kay is good too, but as far as I know she's just an apprentice?? If this is true then she might not be allowed to do more complicated piercings.

Dunno why your asking for a female, maybe your shy, but if you can get past the shyness at all go to Mark in Steven's Green! He's amazing!

And Kay is an apprentice, lads.

Mark in the green is fantastic. Really good if you're nervous or anything.

I think this squeamishness some women have about being pierced by men for "intimate" piercings is silly and a bit shallow. You should be concerned that your piercing be clean, and well done, first and foremost. I suppose some women feel they'll be safe from oogling, but where's the concern for quality? It's not fair to the various competent male piercer in Dublin to tar them all with one brush based on testicles.

It's your decision, but perhaps you should consider your priorities.

If someone has the luxury of choice and they want a female piercer, they have every right to seek out one. It has nothing to do with being 'ogled', everyone knows a professional piercer won't do that, but it's the same reason plenty of women choose to have female doctors- it's a comfort thing, and it's certainly not 'silly' or 'shallow'. Nobody's 'tarring' anyone, they're just looking for a piercer they feel comfortable with, and what's it to you if they feel more comfortable with a female piercer?

no, I'm sorry, I'm going to have to stick by my original statement.

I'm not suggesting that woman should be forced to be pierced by male piercers, but I do think the first concern should be for quality not matching genitals.

I simply don;t see the difference between "I want a female piercer, I'll be more comfortable" and "I want a white piercer, I'll be more comfortable", "I want a sexy piercer, I'll be more comfortable", "I want a gay piercer, I'll be more comfortable", I want a Trekkie piercer, I'll be more comfortable". Cool, it's your choice, no one should stop you, it's your body. But weird, I'd be thinking " I want the most competent piercer, I'll be more comfortable."

    Haha, I know. Strange eh.

Ah for the argument about being female and wanting a female piercer:

We have a right to choose who pierces us. I personally haven't got any hesitition against going to a male piercer to be pierced. But if it makes the piercee a whole lot more comfortable, then that's the way to go.

    stuff

Um, I guess that's why she said 'GOOD female piercers'?

And sorry but the rest of your post was downright offensive. Would you say the same to someone who was more comfortable with a female gynecologist? Comparing it to racism is just idiotic, it's your opinion but the rest was uncalled for.

I would, in fact, say the same to some one who was more comfortable with a female gynecologist. "It's your decision, but I think you are MAD to make that your major consideration."

And before we get our panties any further in a bunch, I compared it to a number of what consider to be peripheral isssues, including a liking for star trek. I never said anything about racism, *you* did, which rather illustrates my point. So let's relax, I'm not threatening to run out and forcibly pierce people of the opposite sex. You can do what you want, just like I can have a opinion.
