    Hi,
    I am looking for as much info. on South America as possible. nothing is to basic. I am going to travel from Sao Paulo up to Lima in Peru but in between i am looking for information...

    Also does anybody know of any festivals on from the beginning of June to the end of July....... such as the carnaval thats on in Brazil.....

    Not sure about festivals as I was there in September/October.

    Only advice I'd give is try to make Iguazu Falls, they really are spectacular. Also overnight buses are really comfortable (seats almost fully recline) and exceptional value. If you want to see somewhere off the tourist track Uruguay is really cool, cheap, great food/drink and people are (IMO) friendliest in SA.
