Holiday Help!

Hi All

I recently paid my final instalment on a holiday im going on in May. While I was doing my own research on the apartments and resort I came across information on a totally unrelated site to the travel agent which I booked with. It stated that the apartments im going to be staying in are going to be under construction while im there meaning the swimming pool and the main bar will be closed for most of my stay. Ive since contacted my travel agent and they said they never herd anything about this but will get onto the hotel then will contact me in the next day or two. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Surely ill be entitled to a transfer to apartments which have what I paid for which is a swimming pool and bar????

Surely what you paid for is accommodation? The facilities are all extras that are nice to have!

Yeah i know what you mean but I defo wouldn’t have booked this holiday had I known this in advance.....

Ring another independant agency and ask them what the story usually is.

I think you have to have been told about any construction works that are going on during your stay. Don't panic yet and let us know how you get on
