well they are probably right about the donkey bit.......

forgot this one when i was posting late last night but i was tired...

stacks villan 250 approx me 700 approx
the read i have here is the important bit. Villan is a young tight player. I believe he is playing scared money. when i sat down he was a shortstack with about 50 or 60 and won a fairly big pot to get it up to about 250 now.. I've seen him fold top pair face up when put underpressure for his stack or any large amount. he keeps counting his stack and hasn't played a hand in a while.......

limped to me on the button and I make it 10 to go with Ad6d.. 4 callers

    flop 2d 6s 10d

checked to me. I bet 30. villan check min raises me to 60.....

    call/fold/raise/push?

I'll let you know what happened later...

Call every time, you have middle pair not great and the nut flush draw, if he wants to min-raise you let him. C a turn card cheaply.

What better flop can you be hoping for!!! If they called you a donkey for pushing (which I hope is what you did) then say "its better to be lucky than good" and rake in the chips with a smile!!!

    call.

Nothing wrong with a push IMO. His own fault for check min-raising if he had a big pair.

    Btw, I just call.

does scared money mean he is never aggressive? if he never bets or cr here without a set then its an obvious call

otherwise its an easy push because given he can make folds if we can get him to fold a10 or JJ etc its great for us

Absolutely shove it all in. Unless he has a set you are in great shape, even then you have planty of outs. If he has an over pair then all the better. The fact that he minraised makes me want to see him suffer anyhow.

    thanks all,

anyway my thinking on this is very similar to valor/hj.
I don't think i can call here as I'm loosing one of my chances of taking the pot. I have 2 chances of winning the pot if I push... either he folds or i hit. Given my read I believe i can get him to fold any pair on the board maybe even TPTK as this 250 seems to mean a lot to him.... if he doesn't fold then i have loads of outs.... any A or diamond i believe are my outs. So I have 10 outs twice so I have about 35-40% chance of hitting and I think he will fold here more then 50% of the time...

So I push.. he thinks for an age.... and then calls showing KsKc.... turn blank....river 8d.. I take the pot...

In fairness to the lad he shook my hand and said well done before gracefully leaving the table..... told him it was a good call and he was just unlucky....

It was then I could hear the mutterings of donkey from the far end of the table..... reasoning why my play was so bad............. ;)

Most of the people who play live cash games in dublin are rubbish, so anything they are likely to say is total nonsense.

Also your hand is a fav on the flop

You actually had more than 10 outs to improve your hand. Nothing wrong with the way you played it. IMO the guys that were whinging about your play are the donkeys.

i would play that hand exactly the same as you did, i think that's the standard line since as you said he mucks A10, K10 probably even JJ in this spot. lol where were you playing where you're gettting called a donkey for pushing allin with a pair and the nut flushdraw, favourite over a single pair hand??? also what was this tight young fella on scared money thinking limping in with KK and not even having the common decency to repump preflop when you obliged with a raise tsk tsk :)
