Yesterday I saw 26" LCD TV for €449 in Tesco Jervis centre.

It has digital freeview...... and HD ready ofcourse.

    Seems like a nice deal.

Saw a few other tvs in tescos in the past week. 37" HDTV for €799. Some make I'd never heard of. They had a brand name (perhaps phillips, I can't remember) 32" HDTV for the same price.

I was looking for the old thread on it but I couldn't find it so I guess I'll just post it here...

The Samsung LE32R32B has dropped in price again on Komplett. Down to €679 now on a weekly offer, but it seems the regular price has dropped to €699 so it won't cost you much extra if you miss out on it this week. Was going to get this tv but have decided to hold out and get something a bit newer, still a very nice tv to have at a great price.

That Samsung looks like the one they have in the Xbox Live Gaming Centre.
If it is, its a pretty sweet TV. Real good sound off it too for a TV.

I've just bought this(Cello 26" lcd) and I'm very happy with it. I got a Bush from Argos last year and it went back the next day(God bless Argos's return policy). This is much better. Definitely a bargain.

Cello ones are really good tv's. It's definatly better than other low priced bargain tv's out there.

I have the 32" inch one, got that in the last deal. :) No pronlem what so ever and picture quality is really good.

Enjoy the hurling on your new tv zachler :)

The Cello has a much sharper, brighter picture. I use a Media Centre setup and the Bush represented a downgrade from my elderly 21" Crt monitor whereas the Cello is a great improvement. To be fair the Bush model on sale at the moment is a newer one than the one I tried so maybe they've improved.

Is this Tv wall mountable, if so what type of wall mounter do I need. Thinking of buying one tomorrow. Has anyone hooked up a XBOX 360 to it yet? what is the picture like?

I saw on the box that wall bracket is included with the tv. So no additional cost of buying the wall bracket.

there isnt any wall bracket in the box with my 26" cello but it is wall mountable if you remove the stand (included)
it's a nice looking set and for that price its perfect for our bedroom. (have the 32" since the last bargain alert for the living room)
has anyone managed to pick up any digital channels or is it a long way down the line before ireland goes digital?

anyone who bought the 26" cello have problems with the tv freezing up. ie getting stuck on a channel and unable to change it via the remote or tv button or even turn it off via the same. its happened twice so far on mine and had to turn off the power and reboot it to clear the problem?

If you switch off the tv from mains or the tv mains switch (not on standby) then when the next time you switch it back again, give it a minute or two to warm up and everything will work fine. There should be no problem with anything if you are switching on from standby.....

You may pick up RTÉ One, Two, TV3 and TG4 on the DTT trial if you are in range. The north west and Dublin are the areas where this is happening.
