After some discussion here, I think it's only fair to those trying to remain spoiler-free that we try and keep some of the more spoilerish elements of future podcasts out of the episode threads. Even the Promo/Pre-Airing threads aren't always suitable as TPTB sometimes reveal info about episodes that are still several weeks away. We can use this thread to post the availability of new podcasts each week and summarise what was covered by the writers, as well as discuss any confirmations, denials, hints, etc they give us.

So let's start with this week's podcast for Catch 22, which can be found here.

Here's a summary of the important bits courtesy of DarkUFO:
Thanks to Desmondhume108 from the Fuselage for the highlights.

-Jae Lee commited suicide. Sun's father didn't push him off the balcony. Apparently, some people thought Jae Lee was murdered.
-Damon and Carlton finished writing the season finale and are now filming the finale.
-There will be more about Charlie and Desmond's premonitions.
-Penny sent the parachutist. Damon and Carlton do not refer to her as Naomi.
-Naomi will be explained further in D.O.C.
-The mystery of the wire, including where it goes to and what it does will be answered this season.
-Damon and Carlton made a point to mention that the father of Sun's baby could be Jin, Jae Lee, or a mystery person. They are probably joking, but if they weren't, my guess is Michael would most likely be the mystery person.
-More of Juliet's motives will be shown in D.O.C.
-Ben wasn't conceived in a test tube.
-Don't believe Ben when he says he was born on the island.
-Ben wasn't the father of Savinne's child.
-There were discussions whether Aaron said Claire or not in One of Us. I actually thought I heard it too, but Damon and Carlton confirmed that Aaron cannot talk.
-For the (insert insanely large number here) time, Christian Shepherd is DEAD!
-We not seen Jacob in a previous episode and won't until he is revealed.
-Ben has been in love. We will get a "sense" of it in 2 weeks.
-There will be a Rousseau flashback eventually. In it, it will talk about Montand and his arm.

This week's podcast for "D.O.C." is now up:

    http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/podcast?pn=podcast

    Here's a summary from DarkUFO:
    - Jin IS the father of Sun's child..
    - The sperm count of males on the island is 5 times greater.
    - Sun is responsible for Jin's "mob-life" - It's a catch 22.
    - The parachutist's name is Naomi Dorrit (sp?)
    - The Losties are NOT in purgatory.
    - Other possible explanations for Naomi's comment about 815 (1. She's lying, 2. Conspiracy theory)
    - In the next episode she will delve further into what her mission is.

    - Mikhail is alive (1. The fence was not turned up high enough to kill him, 2. He DID NOT come back from the dead)

    The Brig.
    - The Other's are on their way to "someplace".
    - We will find out how Cooper got to the island.
    - What happened between Locke seeing his father tied up and when he said good-bye to Kate.
    - A lot of things will be answered.

    - The flash on Hurley in Catch 22 was only a lens flair.
    - Think pseudo-science and borderlands of the supernatural for explanations of LOST.
    - They will be revisiting the psychic's predictions for Claire in the future as well as Walt's abilities.
    - The Others' obsession with children & pregnancy goes beyond the inability to successfully bear children on the island.
    - The Other's definitely have an interest in children with special abilities. That's why they took Walt.
    - There are two factions of The Others & and are in no relation to the hatches/stations.
    - They will be getting back to the statue before the show ends.

thanks Sad Professor, I'm going to listen to the new podcast now.

I was listening to last week's podcast and was wondering what the hell they were talking about when they referred to "Montand and his arm" - this is mentioned in the DarkUFO summary in the first post. can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Montand was a member of Danielle's science team, he lost his arm on the way to the Black Rock. She mentioned this in 1x24 Exodus Part II as I recall.

I've always wondered if Montand and Candle are the same person. Candle had a prosthetic arm in the Swan orientation video. This of course might mean that Danielle is Dharma, which I've suspected for a while.

I've thought the same thing, I'd imagine it to be one of the big reveals either at the end of this season or the start of the next one.

I can't believe it. I can't believe I never picked up on that...
Artz: Yeah, I was with you until Montand got his frickin arm chopped off! LOL

Looking forward to what Locke got up to during his time with the Others, also no flashbacks, it will be like Michaels last season when he got captured, which was probably (besides the finale) my fave episode of Season 2

What does everyone think about there being 2 factions of the Others?

Let's speculate. Perhaps it's the difference between those born on the island (like Ben) and those who were recruited/former Dharma, or the workers and the scientists. Maybe the scientists/Dharma came to the island and enslaved the natives (survivors from the Black Rock that landed there almost a century earlier) who were then little more than hillbillies. But then they rebelled and took control of the island with help from some of the scientists. But Dharma don't know yet, hence the big show with costumes, fake beards, etc.

New podcast for "The Brig" is now up. I haven't listened to it yet but I've heard it's kinda crap this week. With the finale almost upon us the guys have become tight-lipped.

I just finished listening to it, nothing of huge significance except:

    * Looks like Alpert is subverting Ben, trying to manipulate the Others power struggle.

    * Ben is the "man behind the curtain". Maybe. Reference to wizard of oz and who is really in charge of the Others.

    * They hope to reach agreement with ABC sometime soon and announce when the show will end.

    * They thought the Cooper = Sawyer connection was quite obvious and were surprised some people didn't know about it.

I don't know why I bother posting this, no one seems to listen to the podcasts but me :D

    Anyway this week's is up:

    http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/podcast?pn=podcast

    - They just finished shooting the finale on Monday and watched it last night. They're both clearly over-worked and towards the end seem to forget they're being recorded and fall into delirious fits of laughter about the Dharma shark. His name is Ezra James Sharkington and there will be an arc next season about how Bai Ling gave him his Dharma tattoo :p

    - Locke's not dead, no surprise.

    - Jacob is not an alien. The ash that surrounded his hut may be connected to the island's volcano. He is more a story for season 4. They didn't deny that he may be being held captive.

    - Locke is a threat to Ben's leadership, that's why he shot him. Ben was testing to see if he could see/hear Jacob.

    - Ben wasn't the only person who sided against Dharma. Annie and what happened to her will be a future story. So Ben lives!

Well the final podcast of the season is now up, you can listen to it here. Nothing much to report however. Carlton and Damon are staying tight-lipped about events in the finale but the following few things could be gleaned:

    - The cable is probably only for communications and it's likely the Looking Glass has it's own power supply.
    - Desmond's visions/Charlie-death stuff will be "definitively" answered in the finale. Either he lives or he dies, it won't be dragged out any further so if he survives Des won't have anymore visions about him.
    - Jack's plans tend not to work and if this one does it would probably have "horrible repercussions for him personally."

No podcast next week, they want us to form our own opinions and interpretations but like last year there'll be podcast coverage of this summer's comic con.

I thought it was a good podcast, Darlton always make me laugh!
When do the podcasts start up again, before or after 4x01?

They may do another video podcast just before the season premiere like they did this season. And they've said they're open to possibly doing one or two during the summer but it's unlikely imo. However given the extra-long hiatus they may decide to do some after they start shooting.
