Dublins green bins soon to accept plastics

    Yeah, I heard about this about 10 - 12 months ago that it would be in place for Christmas 2006. I started putting my plastic in the green bin last month having got tired of cycling to my local bring centre with a black bin liner of plastic packaging. Green bin collected this morning, so that's twice it's got plastic contamination.

    They'll need to collect more often than once a month, too

    That article mentions that Dublin authorities plan to introduce a fortnightly collection service, starting in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown in May.

    One day they wont collect the bin and you will probably dump it in the hedge then. nice work.
