Audio issue with my Ipod

    Hey,
I have a problem with the sound on my ipod: I can only hear out of one side of the earphones. I thought it was a problem with the phones at first, but I've tried with a different pair of working earphones, and I get the same problem. The old set also work with a different player.
If I push the jack to one side, the sound comes through properly, so I figure there must not be a metallic contact inside the ipod. I've looked inside with a torch and can't see anything blocking the hole (paper or such).
Anyone have any advice on what to do? would it be difficult to open up the player and fix myself, or should I send it away to get fixed? It's out of warranty (by three months. D'oh!).
