Was reading an interview with Dana White in Grappling magazine and he inferred that Pride was in a bit of mixup due to diffferent factions that are own it ? He also said that the UFC was still bigger than it, viewing figures, etc and that the best fighters are been brought over from Pride to the UFC ? Is it true or just Dana flying the flag for the UFC ?

Pride gets bigger attendances but ufc gets more ppv i think-this is down to american hype and advertising..i prefer pride but the merger can make both better..

I didn't know if they'd just bought it or if they were planning to disband it like they did with the WFA (obviously a huge difference between Pride and the WFA, but anyway) but the next Grand Prix is just delayed, its still going ahead so its all good news.

Are they going to push Pride around the World, or is it more that they thought it'd be hard to sell UFC in Japan?

Pride will be a worldwide promotion. It's going to be just fine.

I wouldn't be totally sure about that. Basically there still in the planning stage according to Dana's conference call week. Not a whole lot has been worked out yet.

It'll be interesting though. We'll see if they can turn around Pride the way they turned around UFC. Above all else, they need to get Pride a tv deal in Japan.

I think it will be ok - At first, I was pissed as no competition leads to promoter's getting away with murder.. But in the hindsight, it's good for MMA in that we get to see big name fights.
